Ajar Kerey

Legal Administrative Assistant

Ajar is an alumna from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she studied Political Science and Professional Writing. At UC Santa Barbara, Ajar worked as a research assistant on projects concerning race and gender politics and served as Campaign Chair of Environmental Justice Alliance. Ajar has further gained experience through internships at the office of U.S. Congressman Salud Carbajal, the PublicSquare Equity Project, and the Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness Contracts Division. 

 

In her free time, Ajar volunteers as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in San Luis Obispo County, helping to represent a foster child’s needs as they navigate the juvenile court system. 

 

In fall 2023, Ajar will attend the University of Michigan Law School, after which she plans to pursue a career in international environmental law.
